Working with Arren - Arren would constantly, if intended or not, surprise you, especially when you were new to his laboratory. His ideas, his solutions, his humor, his stories, they were always uniquely him. Working with him was a different experience compared to other group leaders. Just like he always stressed to do several experiments in parallel, he would push you to try his idea, support you to create and test your own, joke with you, discuss and give you a little lecture about metabolism, all in the same meeting. I think we will all miss him and his inputs, his vast knowledge, his energy for science and his unique point of view. Armin Kubis
